The Doris C. Whittier papers. 1868-1990.

Collection contains the correspondence and personal papers of Doris Callow Whittier. The correspondence is primarily between Doris and her husband, William Harrison Whittier, and Doris' mother, Sara Troy Callow. There are also smaller amounts of correspondence from her brother and sister-in-law, father and stepmother, cousins, and Harrison's sisters. The personal papers include school work from her time at the University of Washington, household notebooks, and her children's health records.

Doris Callow Whittier was born in 1900 in Olympia, Washington. After attending the University of Washington, she married William Harrison Whittier, a geologist with the Roxana Petroleum Company.
